Josh and David
Josh and David are the best of friends who also happen to have been born with down syndrome. These two run track together, they laugh together, and simply enjoy each other's company. David and Josh attend a school in which they are treated with kindness and respect by their peers.
Unfortunately, that is not the scenario for all students with disabilities, as the research shows that students with disabilities are two to three times more likely to be bullied than their nondisabled peers.
