You Can Help Others Feel Less Alone
Sometimes, it feels like we think that to have a positive impact on others, our actions need to be public and big; such as coordinating a fundraiser, contacting our legislators, or organizing an event, which are all important (and encouraged!), but not everyone feels comfortable in those roles.
There are many ways to help others, and one of them is to "be there" for others, especially during those times when they are hurting or feeling vulnerable.
When you're bullied, it can be a lonely place. To think that no cares, that nothing will change, can leave someone feeling hopeless.
You can help change all that.
Things you can say to show support include:
I'm here for you
You didn't deserve that
You're not alone
Let's tell someone who can help you
Let's find someone that you can talk to about this
When you show someone you care, it can take someone from feeling hopeless to feeling valued and respected.
